Michal's birthday for Gaza

I am doing well, perhaps better than ever before. I have everything I need, I will be with my loved ones on my birthday, and we will enjoy a nice day together. 

The situation in Gaza is exactly the opposite. It is certainly the worst it has ever been. Human lives are being lost not only due to bombing, but also due to individual attacks on starving Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid. And more people are dying of hunger, malnutrition, or lack of medical care. And the Czech government continues to defend Israel's actions. I have never been so ashamed of the Czech government as I am now. 

There is little we can do about it. We can protest, we can inform and pressure politicians to change their shameful stance. And we can send money to organizations that, despite all the hardships, are still trying to help, and whose workers are risking their own lives to save human lives.

Please celebrate my birthday by sending a donation through this collection to Doctors Without Borders to help in Gaza, if you can afford it. If not, please write at least to one of our government representatives, parliament, or the president, and demand that the Czech Republic join other countries in condemning the dire situation in Gaza. 

If the amount collected exceeds 20,000 CZK, I will add 5,000 CZK of my own.
